Mangaluru Dragons down Gulbarga Mystics by 33 runs
Mysuru, Aug. 11 -- Mangaluru Dragons opened their Shriram Capital Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 campaign in style, defeating Gulbarga Mystics by 33 runs at the Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar Cricket Stadium here today.
Macneil Noronha top-scored with a blistering 53 off 28 balls, laced with three fours and four sixes, as the Dragons posted 180 for eight. Skipper Shreyas Gopal and Kranthi Kumar then picked up three wickets apiece to restrict the Mystics to 147 in 19.5 overs.
Opting to bat first, Dragons got off to a flying start with Lochan Gowda (27) smashing 18 runs in the opening over. Sharath BR (16) kept the scoreboard ticking before Prithviraj (3/21) pegged the innings back, removing Lochan and running out Sharath in successive balls. ...
