Mandi, Nov. 21 -- In a tragic turn in the Sain Mohalla acid attack case, the victim undergoing treatment at PGI Chandigarh, has died.
This marks a fatal escalation of the November 15 assault, in which the woman suffered severe acid burns and critical injuries after her husband allegedly attacked her and pushed her from the second floor of their residence.
Superintendent of Police, Mandi, Abhimanyu Verma, confirmed the development, stating: "The victim, who had been under medical treatment, has passed away at PGI Chandigarh during the course of treatment.
