Mandatory cashless treatment for road accident victims in Chhattisgarh
Raipur, May 20 -- In a significant relief for road accident victims, the Chhattisgarh government has made it mandatory for hospitals to provide cashless treatment for the first 7 days.
This decision comes as part of the Centre's gazette notification on May 5, 2025, on the cashless treatment Scheme 2025. The state agency has issued a letter to all collectors and superintendents of police, directing them to ensure implementation of the scheme.
As per the scheme, all hospitals recognised by the health department in the state (134 hospitals) and that outside the state (61 hospitals) will have to provide cashless treatment to road accident victims.
