London, March 10 -- Liverpool's lead at the top of the Premier League stretched to 15 points over Arsenal this weekend after the team won 3-1 at home to Southampton on Saturday, while Arsenal was held to a 1-1 draw away to Manchester United on Sunday.

Arsenal was aware Liverpool had won its game, but it fell behind to a free kick by Bruno Fernandes right on the stroke of halftime at Old Trafford.

Fernandes appeared to have plenty of space to curl his shot over the Arsenal goal and into the net from just outside the penalty area.
