New Delhi, Oct. 28 -- A man was stabbed to death after he intervened to stop his wife from being molested in the Seemapuri area, police said today.
The police stated that they received information about the incident at 11:56 pm yesterday.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers met with the complainant. She told them that a man, later identified as Muslin, made a lewd remark towards the women. When she objected to his behavior, he continued to hurl abuses at her and then assaulted her.
Her husband, Akbar Ali, intervened to mediate. At that point, Muslin's maternal uncle arrived and, siding with the accused, attacked Ali with a knife, inflicting multiple stab wounds.
