Nashik, Sept. 17 -- One person was seriously injured when two individuals fired shots at him at midnight in the Panchavati area.
The incident occurred due to an old enmity, with two people firing at Sagar Vitthal Jadhav, a suspect in an extortion case and a staunch supporter of the open gang.
According to the police, Jadhav was sitting on a bench with colleagues when Vicky Uttam Wagh and Vicky Vinod Wagh, both residents of the same area, opened fire on him. One bullet pierced Jadhav's cheek, while another got stuck in his neck.
He was immediately admitted to Apollo Hospital, where the stuck bullet was removed after plastic surgery. Jadhav's condition is reported to be critical.
The accused individuals fled the scene after the firing.
