Meerut, Aug. 9 -- A 30-year-old man was shot dead in broad daylight today morning in the Lisadi Gate area of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, in an incident captured on CCTV.
The victim, identified as Aslam, a cook by profession, was attacked around 7:41 am in Shyam Nagar. CCTV footage shows a man approaching Aslam from behind and shooting him before fleeing the scene with an accomplice on a motorcycle.
Bystanders rushed Aslam to PL Sharma Hospital, where he was declared dead during treatment. Police said Aslam was the fourth of seven brothers and lived with his wife and young daughter. He had been involved in an old family dispute that had led to legal proceedings, and about 18 months ago he had survived a similar attack.
