New Delhi, Dec. 19 -- A special POCSO court in Prayagraj on Friday convicted and sentenced Mohammad Zaki to six years imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs. 55,000 for child sexual abuse and the online circulation and possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

The case was registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on December 27, 2021. After the investigation, the agency filed a chargesheet in 2022. The trial court, following the proceedings, convicted the accused and also awarded compensation of Rs. 115,000 to the victim.
