Gonda, Oct. 25 -- A man brutally hacked his wife to death following a domestic dispute, police said, adding the couple's 5-year-old son witnessed the incident reported at the Nawabganj area of UP's Gonda district today morning.
The accused then reportedly left the child at his in-laws' home and fled, police said.
According to police reports, the deceased woman, Aarti Devi (36), was found lying in a pool of blood inside her home in Kolhampur Bazaar under Nawabganj police station. A sharp weapon, suspected to have been used in the crime, was recovered from the scene. The police have sent the body for a postmortem and initiated an investigation.
