Bhopal, Jan. 9 -- A 19-year-old girl was brutally stabbed in the neck and chest by her fiance on Thursday evening in Jabalpur town of Madhya Pradesh, after the girl called off the marriage due to an alleged demand of Rs five lakh dowry by the accused, who also abused the girl's family sometime ago.
The girl succumbed to her injuries on Friday afternoon while undergoing treatment at a hospital.
The police have arrested the accused and an accomplice in the matter.
According to the police, the incident occurred in the Richaai industrial area under the jurisdiction of the Aadhartal police station.
