Sangli, June 23 -- A girl died after being allegedly beaten up by her father who was angry with her for getting low marks in the NEET mock exam and giving the wrong answer when asked the reason for the result. The incident took place at Atpadi taluka of Sangli district in Maharashtra, police said on Monday.
The father of the deceased girl is a school teacher, police said, adding they arrested him on Sunday night. Sadhana Dhondiram Bhosale was a student of 12th standard.
