Jalna, Nov. 21 -- A forty-five-year-old man was brutally killed in a sword attack while purchasing vegetables at a crowded market in Jalna's Notan Wasahat area, police said on Thursday,The deceased, identified as Baba Saheb Somdhane, was assaulted by three persons who arrived in a four-wheeler and attacked him in full public view.
Police reached the spot immediately after receiving information and detained three suspects for questioning. Officers said preliminary inquiries suggest the murder may be linked to an old dispute or a land-related issue, though the exact motive will be confirmed only after a complete investigation.
