Moradabad (UP), Sept. 11 -- A man was sentenced to life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 1 lakh by a local court here for the nine-year-old kidnapping and rape of a minor girl in the Katghar area of Moradabad district here in Uttar Pradesh, a prosecution officer said today.
Prosecution Officer Manoj Gupta said that on February 7, 2016, the complainant had filed a case against Ganesh, a resident of Baldevpuri, for kidnapping and rape of his minor daughter.
"It was alleged that when he went to the house of the accused and asked for his daughter back, the accused threatened him with dire consequences and drove him out of the house," he said.
