Srinagar, July 20 -- Body of a man was found under suspicious circumstances in health resort of Kokernag in south Kashmir district of Anantnag on Saturday.
Official sources said that panic gripped Kokernag when some locals saw a dead body in Shivhad area on Saturday morning. ''The locals immediately informed the police,'' they said, adding a team was rushed to the area and the body was taken away.
The deceased was later identified as Nizam Din Khan, a resident of Choontwad Panzgam. ''Khan is a farmer by profession,'' they said, adding police has registered a case and initiated investigation to ascertain the cause of the death.
