Nashik, Feb. 27 -- A city-based man was allegedly duped of more than Rs 94.47 lakh by cyber criminals who lured him with promises of massive returns through stock market investments. The Cyber Crime Police Station has registered a case and launched an investigation.
According to the complaint filed by Nilesh Bhadke, he received a message on October 15 claiming that he could earn huge profits by investing in the stock market. Trusting the message, he contacted the sender and was subsequently added to an online stock trading group.
In the group, individuals posing as market experts shared investment tips and screenshots of large profits, creating an impression of legitimacy.
