Kozhikode, Dec. 29 -- An elderly man died after falling into a pit dug for the construction of a culvert on the road at Villiappally in Vatakara in Kerala's Kozhikode on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as Moosa, a native of Vilyappilly near Vatakara. He was 55 years old.
The police said Moossa was found lying unconscious in a pit dug for a culvert construction along a road at Villiappally, Amaravathy on Sunday night. Though he was rushed to a nearby hospital, his life could not be saved, police added.
