Shimla, April 20 -- A man died after burn injuries after a devastating fire broke out in the Batahad area of Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh on Saturday, police said.
The police chief of Kullu, Dr. Karthikeya, informed us that a major fire broke out in a house at midnight on January 30, when the victim was in deep sleep.
Local people tried to douse down the inferno, but a man scummed to burn injuries in his bed. The deceased was identified as Jeevan Lal (42), a resident of Batahad.
The cause of the fire has not been known.Banjar police took the body into custody and brought it to Banjar Hospital. After the post-mortem, it was handed over to the deceased family.
