London, Aug. 23 -- Manchester City defender Ruben Dias has signed a two-year contract extension from 2027 to June 2029.
The deal also contains an option for a further season until June 2030, meaning he could play for 10 years at the Etihad Stadium.
"I am incredibly happy today. I love Manchester - it is my home now - and I love the Manchester City fans," the 28-year-old Portugal international said on the club's website.
Dias arrived from Benfica in 2020 for 65 million pounds and made an immediate impact, being named Premier League Player of the Year in his debut season.
