Azamgarh, Oct. 26 -- A man was killed following a land dispute in Shrihi Manorathpur Dubouli village under Raunapar police station, police said today.
The victim, identified as Jitendra Chauhan (40), son of Musafir Chauhan, had an ongoing disagreement with Suggan Chauhan over farmland. Last night, both parties confronted each other regarding a field boundary, which escalated into a physical altercation.
During the clash, members of Suggan Chauhan's group attacked Jitendra Chauhan with a spear. In the melee, Jitendra sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital by his family, where he was declared dead.
