Chennai, Sept. 11 -- In a spinechilling incident, a 60-year-old daily wage workerbeheaded his wife and her paramour with whom she was in a relationship beforesurrendering to the police with their severed heads in bags.
The incident took place in Kallakurichi district late last night and has sent shockwaves among the villagers.
The accused, identified as Kolanchi (48), who has been suspecting her fidelity, foundhis wife Lakshmi (37) with her partner Thangaraj (55) with whom she was said to behaving an affair.
Police said Kolanchi, in a fit of rage, attacked them with a sickle killing themon the spot and severed their heads.
Lakshmi is the second wife of Kolanchi, who is working as a woodcutter.
