Palghar, Jan. 2 -- Police in Maharashtra's Palghar district have arrested a 25-year-old man for allegedly playing an anti-India song on a loudspeaker near a temple, triggering public outrage in the area, officials said on Friday.

The arrest was made on Thursday in the Chinchoti area of Naigaon. According to Sub-Inspector Pankaj Kilje, the accused has been identified as Abdul Rehman Sadruddin Shah. He was allegedly playing the objectionable audio from his mobile phone through a Bluetooth speaker at the Ruhan Hair Cutting Salon in Karamdapada, which is located close to a temple.
