Bulandshahr (UP) , Sept. 27 -- The district police arrested a man accused of murdering his 13-year-old daughter by strangling her with a scarf at Beechola village in Bulandshahr district. The victim, identified as Sonam, was a Class 7 student, police said today, identifying her father as Ajay Sharma, who is being interrogated.
Police said the incident came to light last evening when the body of a girl, dressed in a school uniform, was found lying in a canal under a bridge in the Anoopshahr police station area.
The police recovered the girl's body and identified her.
