Imran MojibPatna, Aug. 29 -- Bihar Police today arrested a man in Darbhanga for allegedly using abusive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's late mother during Rahul Gandhi's Voter Adhikar Yatra, triggering political outrage across the country.

The accused, identified as Mohammad Rizvi, alias Raja, is a resident of Bhopura village in the Singhwada area of Darbhanga.

A video clip of the incident went viral on social media on Wednesday, drawing sharp criticism from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

In response, BJP leaders demanded apologies from Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, who were leading the yatra. Multiple FIRs were reportedly lodged at various police stations based on the viral footage.
