Prayagraj, Feb. 10 -- Bollywood actress and newly appointed Mahamandaleshwar of Kinnar Akhara Mamta Kalkarni has resigned from her post.
In a video Mamta said, "I, Mahamandaleshwar MI Mamta Nand Giri is resigning from my post. I am resigning from the post of Mahamandaleshwar because I am hurt by the problems arising in Kinnar Akhara and others regarding her being declared Mahamandaleshwar."
She said that she had become a Sadhvi almost 25 years ago. She took initiation only after leaving films. She was continuously working to propagate Sanatan Dharma. "I am a Sadhvi and will remain a Sadhvi," she said.
In her video, Mamta has held some Shankaracharyas and Himangi Sakhi, head of Ardhanarishwar Dham, mainly responsible for her resignation....
