Siliguri, Sept. 10 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced that she is goingto stay in North Bengal until the condition of Nepal pacifies.

Banerjee, who is currently in North Bengal and was scheduled to return to Kolkata on Thursday,said today at Uttarkanya, the mini state secretariat in Siliguri, that her return might be delayed.

The chief minister spent nearly the entire night awake on Tuesday, closely monitoring the volatile situation in neighbouring Nepal and its possible fallout in Bengal, which shares a long border with the Himalayan nation.
