Kolkata, Sept. 4 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that arrangements would be made for those who had been branded as "tainted ineligible" despite having worked for 10 years.
Speaking at a public event ahead of Teachers' Day, the Chief Minister said, "We are holding legal discussions. As per court's order, they may not be able to continue as teachers, but we are trying to ensure that they get at least Group C jobs. I would urge them not to lose hope," she said.
"We are already considering cases of those who are untainted. We have given them advantage by raising the age limit. But in certain cases, our hands are tied. We are giving them an opportunity to sit for exams and return to service," said Mamata.
