Kolkata, March 20 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday sidestepped media queries on the current disturbances in Maharashtra but said communal violence was "condemnable".
"Ask (Shiv Sena UBT chief) Uddhav Thackeray," Banerjee said when mediapersons asked for her comment on the issue.
"Any violence is condemnable, especially the communal one," Banerjee said when asked about the recent Nagpur violence during a media conference at the state secretariat Nabanna.
She said when the anti-Sikh riot flared up she went to the (erstwhile Bengal secretariat) Writer's Buildings and offered her support to end the violence.
