Kolkata, Nov. 4 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, famed for her walkathons, once again turned the city's streets into a political stage on Tuesday as she marched 3.8 km from the statue of B. R. Ambedkar at Esplanade to Jorasanko Thakurbari - the ancestral home of Rabindranath Tagore - in a powerful protest against the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
The rally, stretching over two hours, was a spectacle of colour and emotion. Euphoria swept through the crowd as people leaned out of balconies and lined the pavements, capturing the moment on their phones.
