Kolkata, July 16 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today unleashed a blistering attack on the BJP and the Central government, accusing them of systematically targeting Bengali-speaking migrant workers and threatening the constitutional rights of Indian citizens under the guise of national security.
In a fiery public address, Banerjee questioned the BJP-led Central government's alleged discriminatory policies, including what she described as a disturbing trend of detaining Bengali-speaking individuals under suspicion of being illegal immigrants.
