Kolkata, Dec. 22 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday launched a scathing attack on Home Minister Amit Shah, without naming him, accusing him of running the country in an authoritarian manner and exercising control even over the Prime Minister.
Speaking at a programme of the Booth Level Assistants (BLA) of her party TMC, Banerjee alleged that the Centre was pushing the nation in a dangerous direction and undermining democratic values, adding that the people were watching everything.
Without taking any name, the Chief Minister said she had never seen such a "bad" home minister in her political life.
