Bengaluru, May 1 -- Karnataka Home Minister and Congress leader G Parameshwara on Friday said West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has a strong chance of returning to power, even as he expressed confidence about the Congress-led UDF forming the government in Kerala.
"I have spoken to observers who went there and returned. They have said that 'Madam' has a chance to come to power, and that there are mixed responses," Parameshwara told reporters while reacting to exit poll projections for Assembly elections in several states.
His remarks assume significance amid intense political contestation in West Bengal, where the BJP mounted an aggressive campaign against the ruling Trinamool Congress.
