Kolkata, April 16 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday welcomed the Supreme Court's ruling allowing previously excluded voters to cast their ballots, calling it a major victory for democracy.

She congratulated the people of the state and expressed pride in the judiciary, while also issuing clear instructions to Trinamool Congress workers ahead of the polls.
