Kolkata, Aug. 5 -- Expressing grief over the death of former Jammu & Kashmir governor Satya Pal Malik, West Bengal's Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today said that he was well-known in Indian politics for "speaking truth that many are reluctant to voice".
"Saddened by the demise of Satya Pal Malik ji, former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, who became famous in Indian politics by uttering some truths, which few dare to do," Banerjee said while condoling the ex-governor.
Satya Pal ji courageously expressed his support for the Indian farmers' protests and addressed some uncomfortable truths related to the Pulwama attack case.
