Kolkata, May 20 -- : West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, on the second day of her three-day administrative tour of North Bengal, condemned communal violence and misinformation campaigns while unveiling a series of development projects aimed at boosting infrastructure, tourism, and welfare in the region.

Speaking at a public distribution programme in Fulbari, Jalpaiguri, Banerjee cautioned citizens against divisive tactics and inflammatory social media content.

Without referring to any specific incident, she warned that violence not only disrupts lives but also provides an opportunity for political exploitation.
