Kolkata, April 25 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday was forced to cut short a public meeting in Bhabanipur, alleging disruption due to loudspeaker use by political opponents, in the run-up to the final phase of the Assembly elections.

The incident took place at Chakraberia Road near the Swami Narayan Temple, where Banerjee, the Trinamool Congress candidate from the constituency, was addressing a gathering as part of her campaign outreach.

According to the Trinamool Congress, a rival political group began using high-volume microphones in close proximity to the venue, making it difficult for the Chief Minister to continue her speech.
