Mamata conveys Holi greetings ; Refrains from participating in festivities as a tribute to slain jawans in Pulwama attack

Kolkata, March 21 -- Refraining from celebrating Holi this year as a tribute to the slain CRPF jawans

in the recent Pulwama terror attack, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday conveyed her

heartiest Holi greetings to all.

Taking to her Twitter handle, Ms Banerjee said, '' Heartiest #Holi greetings to all. May your life be filled with colours of joy & happiness. Your enjoyment should not bring sorrow to someone else. ''

Ms Banerjee, however, had already announced that she would not celebrate Holi this year as a tribute to the slain CRPF troopers.

"We will not celebrate Holi, but the people will find colourful ways to celebrate the festival," said Ms Banerjee.
