Kolkata, July 29 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launched a scathing attack on various national commissions, accusing them of remaining silent on alleged atrocities and harassment faced by Bengali-speaking people in states governed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).



Her remarks came during an administrative meeting held at Illambazar in Birbhum district, where she addressed a host of governance issues as well as rising concerns about the treatment of Bengali migrants across India.
