Kolkata, Aug. 19 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today claimed that the "Human rights have been totally violated in Kashmir," a reference probably she meant the abrogation of articles 370 and 35 A and declaration of Union territories of J&K and Ladhak.

Ms Banerjee, who is also the chairperson of state ruling Trinamool Congress, wrote in her Twitter handle that " Today is World Humanitarian Day. Human rights have been totally violated in Kashmir. Let us pray for human rights and peace in Kashmir."

She said " Human rights are a subject very close to my heart. In 1995, I was on the road for 21 days to protect human rights violations against deaths in lockups."
