Kolkata, July 10 -- In a message of solidarity with Jammu and Kashmir that has seen a decline in tourism following the Pahalgam attack, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee urged Bengali tourists to visit the region.

She was accompanied by Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who met his Bengal counterpart at the state secretariat, Nabanna, this evening.

"I will try to visit Kashmir after the Puja. Our government is ready to help Kashmir in every possible way. Our tourists should go to Kashmir. There is no need to be afraid," she told the media after the meeting.
