Kolkata, Aug. 28 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today raised her voice against Election Commission of India on SIR (Special Intensive Review) declaring that she will not allow anyone to snatch the voting rights of the people.
Speaking at the Trinamool Chhatra Parishad's Foundation Day programme in Kolkata, Trinamool Congress supremo said, "I respect the chair of the Election Commission. But you know, it suits children to eat lollipops. If grown-ups take lollipops on behalf of a party, that does not look right.""As long as I live, I will not allow anyone's voting rights to be taken away," the chief minister said.
