Mumbai, Nov. 21 -- Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee president Harsh Vardhan Sapkal has strongly condemned the rape and murder of a three-year-old girl in Malegaon, saying the incident reflects the lack of safety for women and girls in the land of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
He demanded that the case be tried in a special fast-track court and that the accused be given the death penalty to instil fear among criminals about legal consequences.
