Mumbai, March 24 -- The victims of the 2008 Malegaon blast case have written to the Chief Justice of Bombay High Court calling for extending the tenure of Special NIA Judge A. K. Lahoti, who has been presiding over the trial since August 2022.
Advocate Shahid Nadeem, representing the blast victims, wrote the letter to the chief justice as also the Registrar of the Bombay High Court and secretary of law and judiciary.
The letter said Judge Lahoti may be transferred in the coming vacation as per the annual general transfers, with teh victims apprehending delay in justice.
