By Abhishek Jha Male', July 26 -- The Maldives, a tropical paradise known for its pristine beaches and luxurious resorts, is doubling down on efforts to woo Indian tourists, who have historically been a cornerstone of its tourism industry. In a conversation with UNI, Maldivian Minister for Tourism Thoriq Ibrahim outlined ambitious plans to bolster connectivity and enhance the travel experience in order to woo tourists from Non Metro cities of India.

"What we are trying to do right now is to have more direct connections from Indian cities, the tier-one cities and tier-two cities.
