Male, Nov. 5 -- Commemorating the 37th anniversary of Victory Day, former Maldivian President Abdulla Yameen said that Victory Day is a permanent reminder of India's assistance to the Maldives, when India's swift and decisive intervention helped thwart an attempted coup in 1988.
In a post on X, Yameen said said, "Today is a permanent reminder of the support of neighbouring India to the Maldives."Former Foreign Minister Abdulla Yameen, marking the day, thanked India for its timely help that day.
