Kuala Lumpur, Oct. 23 -- Malaysia, as the current chairman of the ASEAN is looking forward to a greater role by Japan in advancing technology transfer and front-end semiconductor investment across the region, said Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Md Hasan.
"I think ASEAN's partnership with Japan has reached the level of a strategic comprehensive partnership. We have no major issues with Japan, but we would like to see Tokyo take on a greater role in technology and artificial intelligence," the minister told reporters of the summit, during a visit to the International Media Centre ahead of the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Kuala Lumpur.
