Akola, Dec. 15 -- The Anti-Human Trafficking Cell in Akola district has unearthed 125 cases related to immoral trafficking so far, marking a major breakthrough in its ongoing crackdown on crimes involving women and children, police said on Monday.

The operations are being carried out under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Archat Chandik, Additional Superintendent of Police B Chandrakant Reddy, and Deputy Superintendent of Police (Urban Sub-Division) Sudarshan Patil. The cell is investigating cases registered under Sections 363 and 137(2) of the BNS.

In one specific case registered as Crime No. 89 of 2025 under Section 137(2) at the Civil Lines police station in Akola, the investigation was transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking...
