Hyderabad, Feb. 18 -- A major accident was narrowly avoided at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Shamshabad here on Tuesday after a Blue Dart cargo plane travelling from Chennai to Hyderabad encountered a landing gear malfunction.

The pilot, upon noticing the issue, immediately alerted airport authorities and requested permission for an emergency landing. In response, officials halted all international flights to ensure a safe landing. Displaying exceptional skill, the pilot managed to land the aircraft safely, Airport official sources said.
