Lucknow, Sept. 21 -- A major land scam has come to light in Lucknow's upscale Gomtinagar area, where seven high-value plots belonging to the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) were fraudulently sold and registered under false names.
Following an internal inquiry that exposed serious irregularities, a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed at Wazirganj police station by Sadar Sub-Registrar (II) Prabhash Singh.
The scam involves seven LDA plots located in prime localities such as Vikalp Khand, Vikrant Khand, Vineet Khand, Vibhav Khand, and Vinamra Khand. The combined area of the land parcels is approximately 14,888 square feet, with an estimated market value of around Rs 20 crore.
