Aurangabad, June 3 -- A massive fire broke out at Axis Bank's main branch located on the busy MG Road in Aurangabad on Tuesday evening, causing extensive damage to property.
The blaze, which started around 6 pm, took the fire brigade nearly an hour and a half to bring under control.
According to Branch Manager Shashikant, the fire originated due to a short circuit in an air conditioning unit.
"The fire spread rapidly, giving our staff little time to react. Soon, it engulfed the bank's wiring, computers, and other electronic equipment," he said.
