Imphal, Aug. 24 -- Manipur Police and Security Forces have intensified their crackdown on drug trafficking and militant activities, resulting in a series of significant seizures and arrests across the state yesterday.
Police today said they recovered 20 soap cases containing contraband brown sugar weighing approximately 236 grams, excluding the weight of the containers, from a house located at Songsibok Thingkangphai village under Churachandpur Police Station.
A sum of Rs 3,87,100 was also seized during the raid. Investigations have revealed that the house was occupied by Chinsiathang of Tangpijol village in Singngat Sub-Division. The matter is currently under further investigation.
